Thank you for your interest in commissioning character artwork from me. I appreciate the opportunity to create a fun character design for you! If you are not familiar with "commissions" and the process involved, I will explain below, and you may also want to read the Commission F.A.Q. for more details.

When you "commission" a piece of character art from me, you are basically requesting a character drawing which will be tailor made by me, for you. You provide the details of what you want drawn, how you want it drawn, and in what form of media. With your specifications, I will create the character art piece in my style. When the request is received, I will send you a Price Quote and a "proof" to review. When you are satisfied with the preliminary sketch, you may purchase the commission service (50% deposit required after approval) and your final piece will be completed and delivered to you.

Here is a basic rundown of the process:

  1. Check out my Sample Gallery for some ideas of what my art style is, and what sort of characters I'm good at drawing!
  2. Look over my Price List to see of which kinds of art pieces I am currently offering for commission and for price estimates.
  3. When you know what you'd like me to draw, you may fill out the Commission Request Form online (make sure to provide a vaild Email address), or you may simply send me the details of your request via email.
  4. I receive your request and review it, and will contact you with a Price Quote based on your description and my Price List. If you approve, I will sketch out your request in pencil and send you a low resolution "proof" via email.
  5. At this stage, you may approve or disapprove of the rough draft. If you disapprove of the composition, please tell me what changes you wish me to make and I will do so. Remember, the finished product will always look much better than the sketch, and the sketch is only a rough draft to show you the basic composition of the piece. You may request the sketch to be redone, and if you find that I'm not quite getting it, please provide me with reference to aid the process!
  6. If you approve of the rough draft, you can pay the deposit on the piece. Deposits are 1/2 the full price of the commission. I will send you an invoice and after payment you will receive a receipt including documentation of our transaction agreement. I currently accept Paypal in U.S. Dollars (kawaii_vilsy@hotmail.com). Once I have received your payment, I will begin work on completing your requested piece.
  7. When the piece is finished, I will present you with a low-res preview of your finished artwork. Then you may pay the remainder of the price. When I receive the rest of your payment, you will receive another receipt and your finished commission, either in 300dpi .jpg format via email or 8.5" x 11" color print on glossy paper via the post.

Note: If it is more convenient for you to pay in full at the time of your approval, just let me know!

Commission Slots

There are currently 2 active commission slots OPEN. I process all requests in the order that I receive them. I will work on 1 commission at a time to ensure good quality work. I maintain a waiting list for requests I receive after the 2 commission slots are filled. I will respond to all requests and give the sender a wait time estimate, along with any other information he or she requires. If you do not wish to remain on the waiting list, please let me know and I will cancel your request.

Terms of Agreement

  1. The Artwork I create for you is for personal use only. You may not redistribute, reproduce, or alter the work for profit in any way without my permission. Please do not remove my signature from the piece; I will oblige to make it discrete and it will not distract from the artwork.
  2. All characters I draw are Copyright their respective owners. The work itself is (c) me.
  3. Deposits on your commissions are non-refundable, as you are agreeing to pay for the time I've spent up to that point.
  4. I currently accept payment in U.S. Dollars through Paypal only.

Cancellations & Refunds

If for any reason you would like to cancel your order during the preliminary process, please let me know and I will cancel your request.

If you wish to cancel AFTER you have approved the proof sketch AND paid your deposit, I will cancel your order under the following terms:

  • You will receive your preliminary sketch in digital format.
  • When you accept the preliminary sketch and pay the deposit, you are agreeing to compensate me for the work I've done thus far. Therefore, if you cancel your order after paying your deposit, I cannot refund it.
  • If you paid in FULL at the time of approving the preliminary sketch, I will refund HALF of your payment.
  • If for any reason I cannot complete your commission, you will be refunded in full.
